Praise for LOVE & METAXA

I got to know Adrian Ernesto Cepeda on Twitter a few years ago. We started following each other and read each other’s books. He enjoyed Love & Vodka, and I have read and enjoyed all three of his poetry books, from Becoming Attractions, to Between the Spine, and his latest collection inspired by Sylvia Plath, La Belle Jar. I was one of the first poets to read La Belle Jar, in its first stages. He was also the first poet to write a blurb for me, when Love & Metaxa, was in its second or third draft. At the time, Adrian wrote me this fantastic blurb. He is an LA Poet who has a BA from the University of Texas at San Antonio and he is also a graduate of the MFA program at Antioch University in Los Angeles where he lives with his lovely wife and their adorably spoiled cat Woody Gold.

“It’s official, I am a devoted aficionado of Christina Strigas’s stunning poetry. Having already savored the beautiful addictive collection Love & Vodka, I can attest Love & Metaxa goes deeper and resonates the kind of lyrical urges only Strigas can craft on the page. Her verses are more than just erotic poetry, Strigas poems evoke the love, longing, marriage, fantasy, desire, and eloquence of everyday passion that lives between her stanzas and reflect our own carnal cravings of the page. One does not sip Christina’s words, no, I urge you to devour Love & Metaxa. Strigas’s poetry goes through the heart, past the mind by reigniting the body of everyone you loved or ever privately longed to behold.”
