First novel

Alexios & Elysia #19

“What do you mean, ‘just as you thought?'” I jumped back into my seat from the force of the smash and Tommy’s words.

He completely ignored my question. “Stay here. Lock the door. I’m going outside.” He said in a firm voice, placing his hand inside his jacket pocket to check for something. He closed the door behind him and although I tried to see what was going on, I couldn’t because the windows were foggy. I knew Alexios was out there. It had to be him.

Tommy tricked me. I wouldn’t go to his place so he tried to get Alexios to come to us. He knew Alexios was following us from the ballet.

I heard a banging against the car. They were fighting now. I felt anxious and my mouth became dry. One of them was going to die tonight. My heart beat so fast. I couldn’t breathe in the car.

I didn’t want neither Alexios nor Tommy to die. I unlocked the door.

I was going to stop them.

Alexios & Elysia #18

“He fell for it, alright,” Tommy said grinning like a spoiled brat who always gets what he want. It irked me.

“I guess so,” I muttered.

“Did you make lover-boy upset? Too fuckin’ bad. I don’t even understand how a smart, beautiful girl like you, could fall for a blood-sucker?”

“Listen, Tommy, just fuck off!” I shouted. “Take me home.”

“No, the night is much too young,” he gave me a quick glance, while fumbling for music, “plus, he’s following us.”

“But I made a renez-vous for tomorrow.”

“It doesn’t really matter.” His eyes were on the rear-view mirror, giving up on his music.

“Yes, it does. It does to me.”

“You have to come to my place. That’ll make him angry!” he smirked.

“That wasn’t the plan.” I said pissed off.

“Plans change.” His expression was blank. He was cold as ice, fuming. “I want to kiss him tonight!”

I felt uneasy, uncomfortable in this plan. I didn’t want Alexios dead…my thoughts kept on changing on me.

“I don’t care if you still have feelings for that dead fuck.”

“Stop reading my mind!” I screamed at him.

“Okay, okay, calm down.”

“No, you calm down.” I repeated.

He blasted the music like an angry teenager. It was some stupid dance song on the radio. After a minute, he shut off the music and turned to me.

“Ellie, do you want him to kill more woman?”

“No, of course not.”

“You know killing is what he does best. He is a killer.”

“So are you.” I said.

“I’m a vampire killer. That’s completely different. I don’t kill innocent people, especially women.”

“This is so fucked up.”

He slowed down the car and parked at the side of the road. He shifted his body toward me. The street was vacant, no cars in front or behind. I figured he probably lost Alexios or something.

“Listen, Ellie, I don’t want you to get hurt,” Tommy looked into my eyes and then he rubbed his head s if he had a headache. I studied him closely. His blue eyes flickered on me. “You are so difficult. You are truly stubborn, and I think that is what I like most about you.” He leaned in toward me. I didn’t move, waiting to hear what he was going to say next. “When all this is over, I want to take you on a real date.”

“Are you seriously coming onto me?”

“Yes,” he whispered and placed his hand in my hair. “Yes, I am. I’ve never met anybody like you.” I felt electricity storm through me. I liked the way his hand was caressing my hair. “You make me so angry one minute and the next minute I want to kiss you. I want to kiss you like you’ve never been kissed before.”

I looked at his lips beckoning me and his voice tingling through my body. I felt the exact same way, but I didn’t want to admit it.

“I want to kiss you right now,” he said and looked at my lips, gently caressing the side of my cheek and slowly moving his fingertips over my mouth. I was melting at his touch, entrapped by his magnetic blue eyes. I didn’t pull back. I waited. He took his other hand and stroked my other cheek, pulling me closer to him. “So can I?” he mumbled.

“Stop talking,” I managed to say and with one slow movement his mouth was on mine and his hands were in my hair, holding my head tightly. I felt the urgency in his kiss and reciprocated my need. He pulled me closer to him, but the gear shift got in the way and I instinctively jumped over it and landed on top of him in the driver’s seat. His hands grabbed my ass and pulled up my dress. I felt my insides exploding and then I heard a crash from the back of the car. I bolted upright. Tommy looked behind me and said, “Alexios is here, just as I thought he would be.”

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia #17

As soon as Tommy and I sat down to watch the ballet, I felt that someone was watching me.

“I think Alexios is here,” I said nervously.

“I know. I already saw him,” Tommy whispered in my ear. “Show time.”

“Where is he?” I asked. Tommy ignored my question and came closer to me and kissed me. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. It was quite a sensual kiss; I felt a tingling all through my body and I definitely wasn’t pretending. He pulled away and placed his hand on my shoulder. His blue eyes warmed to mine. I lost myself for a few seconds.

“I’m sure he’s flipping,” Tommy said, cool as a cucumber.

“Do you…know where he’s sitting?”

“Don’t turn your head when I tell you. To the right, on the balcony, third row, middle section. Don’t look at him.”

“Okay,” I mumbled a little frazzled from the kiss.

“At intermission, you will go to the washroom…I’m sure he’ll be there.” He rubbed my arms up and down. “By the way, Ellie, I love the way you look in a dress.” He locked eyes with mine.

“Thank you.”

“The show will start any second. One more kiss, okay?” he spoke in my ear and his breath so close to my skin made me slightly weak. Luckily, I was sitting. I turned toward him and pulled him close and kissed him first, taking him a bit by surprise. Then I felt it, his tongue, his sweet, delicious tongue met mine. I heard a man next to me clear his throat and I pulled back.

“Sorry,” I said.

“Sorry for what? Don’t be sorry for that!” Tommy gave my neighbor a dirty look and said a little too loudly, “Sour puss.”

The lights went out and I retained a giggle. The lights went out and the music and curtains opened. It was magical. Tommy held my hand and caressed my knuckles in a way that made me lose my concentration.

“How do you like the ballet, Ellie?” he whispered ever so quietly in my ear.

“I like it very much,” I replied. I especially liked his breath on my ear.

Tommy touched the top of my knee, “I knew you would,” and smirked. “I can’t seem to keep my hands off of you…”

I didn’t look at him or reply. I kept my eyes on the stage. By the time I knew it, the lights went on and I quickly stood up.

“I’ll be back, sweetie,” I said acting like a loving girlfriend. He gave me a subtle smile and glanced at my body.

“Okay, sweetie,” he replied smoothly running his hand through his hair.

As soon as I got to the washroom, following the signs and trying hard not to fall in those fuckin’ heels, I saw Alexios. His green eyes penetrated into mine absolute anger. He had his leg up against one wall and waited for me to approach him. I practically fell into him, skipping over my own two feet and stumbling.

“I see, you have a new boyfriend,” Alexios said, holding out his hand to stop me from falling and not budging.

“It’s a date. He’s not my boyfriend.”

“Do you usually make out on your first date?” his eyes darkened ever so slowly and scared me slightly.

“What do you care? You took off and left me to fend for myself with your lies and sad puppy eyes.” Shit, this wasn’t what I was supposed to say and it sounded like a an immature rhyme. “Look, Alexios,” I leaned into him, “I still care for you.” I looked around. “Could you meet me tomorrow night?”

He grabbed both my arms and stood tall in front of me. “Why?”

I looked around nervously, pretending to be worried, “If Tommy sees you, he’ll kill you…” I was losing him. “I love you.” I figured that would get his attention.

“Where do you want to meet?” he asked coldly eyeing me closely.

“Starbucks. Seven p.m. tomorrow.” Before I could get a reply he was gone.

Fuckin’ vampires and their disappearing act.

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia # 15

“What do you want me to do?”

Tommy’s eyes lingered on my lips a little too long. “I think you need to go to the ballet,” he said out of nowhere.

“The ballet? Are you serious?”

“I bet you’ve never been,” he smiled.

“Why do you say that?” How the fuck does he know I’ve never been…shit, the mind reading again. “Stop reading my mind!”

“I’m not. I just figured you never had anyone take you. I’m sure vampire shithead never took you,” and Tommy rolled his eyes.

“I don’t need anyone to take me to the ballet. I’m a capable woman. I just never had the chance to go,” I replied, hating my answer instantly as I noticed the smirk on his face and  his blue eyes twinkling like a mischevious child.

“It’s a great place to wear a dress,” Tommy said jokingly.

“You’re a real comedian! So what do you want me to do as a spy?” I asked changing the subject and getting back to the point.

“I just told you what we’re doing. We’re going to the Kirov Ballet. The Russians are the best,” he added.

“But why there?”

“Because we are going to make the hellhound jealous.” He just called Alexios a hellhound. Although it was offensive I wanted to crack up.

“And then?” I quickly asked nervously playing with the ends of my hair.

“He’ll show up and I’ll kill him,” he plainly said looking at me as if I was lost. “You see, bella, if Alexios sees me with you, and this is where your acting skills come in as a spy, he’ll get angry and act irrational, as vampires are known to do. As long as you pretend to be interested in me.” Tommy looked at my attire and added, “I’m sure you can muster up some sex appeal, actualy, the way you are playing with your hair right now is a perfect example of what I want him to see.” He gazed intently at me, “you know exactly how to get a guy hot and bothered.”

I stopped twirling my hair. Part of me wanted to run out of that restaurant and his hair-brained schemes, part of me wanted to continue twirling my strands of hair.

“Wait, don’t tell me to go fuck myself again.”

“You have some nerve, you know that? Now, when are we going?”

“Tomorrow night.”

“You already bought the tickets?”

“I love the ballet.”

“How do you know I was going to go with you?”

“I didn’t,” he looked at the waitress and waved her over. She was there within seconds.

“Two more,” he said, pointing to the empty wine. She looked at him like she wanted to jump him right there and then in front of me.

“Yes, right away,” she said hurrying off.

“I think she likes you,” I laughed.

“The only girl I have to make like me, is you, at least for pretend, that is,” and smiled at me. “He’ll be watching…and we have to pretend to be into each other.” He laid his hands on the table. “Don’t you just love the word pretend? It gives me a pang of excitement.” The waitress arrived and heard his last word and gave me a dirty look.

“Will there be anything else?” she flirted with Tommy.

“No, thanks,” he replied staring at me.

“So, Ellie, are you ready for your closeup?

I wasnt’ ready for anything. The wine made me slightly dizzy and Tommy’s eyes penetrating into mine left my belly all tingly. I didn’t like this feeling. Not one little bit.

He smiled. “You’ll be fine.”

We finished the wine quickly and we went over tomorrow night’s events. We left the restaurant and got into his car. We drove in silence. I tried to block off any thoughts.

“I told you that I won’t read your mind…and I haven’t . I’m a man of my word, Ellie.”

He stopped in front of my house. “Pick you up at seven p.m. sharp tomorrow,” he said and got out of his car and came around to open my door.

“You’re quite a gentleman,” I remarked, gtting out of the car and standing two inches away from him. I felt it immediately. Electricity coarsed through my veins. I stepped back and said a quick bye.

“Don’t forget to wear a dress,” he called out to me as my weak legs carried me to my front steps. I didn’t look back.

Shit, I needed back up.

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia # 11

“He killed people?”

“What do you think? He was a vampire that never killed people? You have to wake up and smell the coffee, my dear. Your great-grandmother, Elizabeth, had a gift and  you have one too. You see, you are exactly like her, except you’ve been blocked.”

He drank from his beer and glanced around the bar. “This place is a real dive. I have to show you around. Your city has some cool bars and you choose this one?”

“I like the music.”

“That’s the only thing it’s got going for it,” Tommy looked back at me. “Yes, where was I? Blocked…and try to take a lucky guess, who has blocked you?”

“Don’t tell me, Alexios!”

He put his hands together and clapped, “Ladies and gents we’ve got a winner!” he said his blue eyes smiling at me as if he was a comedian.

“What’s wrong with  you? Is everything a joke to you?” I said angrily.

“Is everything so serious to you? You have to loosen up, Ellie, do you mind if I call you Ellie?”

No one has ever called me Ellie before, he had my head spinning with all his information. His eyes widened and he smirked. Man, his good looks threw me off. I played with my hair nervously.

“Are my looks distracting you, Ellie?”

“You are really obnoxious, Tommy. Who said anything about your looks?”

“I see you like my name,” he laughed.

“I never said that!” Shit I forgot he read minds. Block out everything, I said to myself.

“Ellie, you are quite a spitfire” he took a sip of his beer, and finished it off. He winked at the barmaid and gestured for another two. “Drink up,” he said to me.

I took a few sips trying not to think of anything then I asked him, “How could Alexios block my gift?”

“Alexios was on a mission when he met you. It wasn’t an accident. He was acting and playing a game with you because only a vampire’s presence could make Elizabeth’s spirit guide impenetrable.”

“How about when he left for all those years?”

“Didn’t he send you something? His words and scent have a magical spell around you. It is as if he is surrounding you. He left because he was head over heels for you. No longer valuable. A love-sick puppy,” Tommy rolled his eyes and gestured with his index finger to gag. “He was told to keep on sending you words, your lovely love letters you cherish so, you have to fuckin’ burn them. Stop reading them on the bus. He did this so your bond could not disconnect, and your gift be revealed to you.”

“This sounds absurd. Wait up, how do you know I’ve read his letters on the bus? You’ve been following me?”

“Ever since you’ve been wearing the bracelet I gave you, are you thinking about Alexios as much?” He ignored my question with another question. He was a fast-talker.

“Come to think of it, no.”

“You see, the connection is starting to wear off, thankfully,” he looked at my shoes out of nowhere and up my body to my face. I felt self-conscious and moved in my seat slightly. Everything Tommy said was insane, but somehow made sense. “You really should try to dress up. I’m sure you would look amazing in a dress. Why do you cover your body?”

“That’s none of your business! How I dress or what I wear shouldn’t concern you!”

“Ah, my sweet Ellie, that’s where you are wrong. I am here to catch that lying Casanova of a boyfriend you have, and you are my bait.”

I stood up and looked for Dima. She caught my look and got up. I nudged my head to her toward the exit door, shaken up. “Tommy, go fuck yourself!”

His jaw dropped and immediately his blue eyes twinkled. He stood up and hovered over me, he curtsied like I was some kind of duchess and said, “I had a lovely time talking to you, the pleasure was all mine, obviously, and now I’ll take my leave and go fuck myself, but just so you could know, I really think a dress would compliment you, but you look beautiful in anything you wear,” and he walked away before I got a chance to. I wanted to walk out on him!

He followed me? Alexios was on a mission? I had a gift? What the fuck?

Dima rushed over to me, “What was all that about?”

I looked at my friend Dima and felt my knees go weak, my head dizzy and then blackness.

I hit the hard floor to the tune of Depeche Mode’s, World in my Eyes.

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia #10

A few days went by and everything was quiet, a little too quiet. I went over to Dima’s house and she was itching to go out for drinks.

“C’mon, Elysia, it won’t kill you to go for a drink!”

“I know, I’m just not in the mood.”

“Then get in the mood!”

“Okay, okay…fine! Why not?” I couldn’t listen to her whine, and knowing Dima she wouldn’t give up till I complied.

“It’ll be fun, you’ll see. Just me and you.” Her husband was working late and she really wanted to go out.

“But first, I need to freshen up, look at my hair!” We both went into her washroom and applied some eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick and blush. “Do you have a curling iron?”

“In the closet.” I went to heat it up and curled a few strands sporadically to give my hair some life. I checked out myself in the mirror. Not bad. I looked decent. I could have used my other pair of jeans, but these would do.

“Let’s go!” I said, “and thanks for this. I need a stiff drink!”

“You definitely need something stiff!” Dima laughed as she locked her door; her blond hair sweeping her face.

“We’re going to GoGo. I know how much you love the music there,” she said. “Look, it’s a full moon.”

I howled and we laughed. “Who knows, Elle, maybe you’ll meet someone,” she smiled.

“Yeah, right, at a bar, real classy.”

“At this point you’ll dry up!” We walked to the corner and hailed a cab from Park Avenue.

“Fuck you! I saw Alexios and we had a wild night!”

“What? When?”

“He came back.”

“And you didn’t tell me, your so-called best friend.”

“I’m telling you now.”

“Nothing.” We got into the cab and I quickly changed the subject. As soon as we walked into the bar we headed straight for some seats at the bar and ordered two beers.

“Why did Alexios leave?” she asked me as our beers were placed in front of us and the barmaid smiled at us.

“He had to. It’s a long story. I don’t know when I’ll see him again.”

“After all these years, you still have the same feelings for him? C’mon, you really have to get a normal boyfriend.”

“What’s normal?”

“For starters, someone who actually lives here and doesn’t leave for years.”

“Duly noted.”

“You know, there’s a hottie staring right at you, three o’clock,” she knocked her beer bottle on top of mine and winked. “Start living today, not in the past.” I waited a few second to turn my head and when I did, my heart sank.

Athanasios was staring right at me with a stupid smile on his face.

“Do you know him? He is smiling at you?”

“Kind of…I met him a few days ago.”

“And, of course, you omitted that too,” she said sarcastically. She stared at him, “I don’t know how you could forget to tell me, he’s fuckin’ gorgeous.”

“Dima, forget it. He’s not for me.”

“Well, hold your horses, because he’s coming on over, whether he’s for you or not.”

“What?” I tried to not move my head and turned my back to him and stared in front of me. The barmaid looked at me and then her eyes moved to Athanasios and stayed there. I knew he was right behind me.

“So, fancy meeting you here, Elysia,” he said and I turned to face him. He was inches from my face. I pulled back and Dima moved to the side and that’s when he took the opportunity to squeeze himself next to me. “Hello,” he said to Dima and I quickly glanced up and down his body. Wow.

“Hi,” she said, widening her eyes at me.

“What are you doing here?” I said and turned my head towards him and met his blue eyes. My God he was a specimen.

“Can’t a guy have a drink at a bar?” He looked at Dima. “I’m Tommy,” he said, ” a family friend.” A family friend? Tommy?

“Nice to meet you,” Dima said, extending her hand. He kissed her hand, “Pleasure is all mine.” She smiled, blushed and looked at me inquisitively.

“Elysia, I wanted to talk to you…to continue where we left off the other night.” I could just read Dima’s mind…the other night?

“Now is not a good time. I’m with my friend.”

He stepped back, “Oh, I’m sorry,” he looked at Dima, “Would you mind terribly if I stole your friend for a few minutes?”

She looked at me and waited for my reply. I nodded. “Of course, no problem.” She smiled, “I’ll be right over there,” and she pointed to and empty seat down the bar.

“Your friend seems nice,” he said. I lifted the bottle to my mouth and finished the beer, trying to calm my nerves.

“Would you like another?”

“I’ll take that as a yes,” he looked at the barmaid, who was already staring at him. “Two more please,” and smiled.

“What do you want?”

“I see you are wearing the bracelet. Good.” He glanced around the bar. “Still no sign of lover-boy?” he asked.

“I wouldn’t tell you, even if I knew.”

“Pity, but it’s okay. I know you haven’t seen him. I’ve been watching you. Pretty dull life, my dear. I’m glad you finally came out to civilization. I was almost falling asleep every night watching you bored to death.”

“How dare you?” I was fuming. How could he talk to me like that? I really was starting to hate him.

“Hate is a powerful emotion. The complete opposite of love, but let’s get on with the story, unless of course, you don’t want to hear about your great-grandmother Elizabeth?” His eyes sparkled and I wanted to punch him in the face. At that second, the barmaid placed the beer in front of us. He pulled out some money and paid. “Keep the change and keep it coming. I’ve had a dull couple of days.” The barmaid laughed.

“You really have some nerve.” I took a quick sip of my beer.

“What? No cheers?”

“No. Now go on with the story.”

“So glad to have your attention.” I glanced over at Dima and she was talking to some girl that we had gone to high school with. I immediately turned away and looked up at Athanasios or Tommy. He blocked my view with his body and smiled. Fuck. I had to stop thinking.

“For your info, all my close friends call me Tommy.” He looked down at me, “and you’re welcome.” He took a swing of his beer. I waited, not thinking.

“Elizabeth was born in Greece, in 1902, on the island of Santorini. She was a smart, young girl with certain powers, unbeknownst to the villagers. Her passion was witchcraft, the goddess Selene her guide and the Gorgon her protector from evil spirits and evil beings-especially the ones known as the Night Walkers.” I glanced at my bracelet and played with it. Looking at the letters. “The letters mean Gorgon, you see, in Ancient Greece, a Gorgoneion was used to ward off evil spirits. Your own great-grandmother made the one you’re wearing. Actually it belonged to her. She made these charm bracelets for the women of the village to be protected from the Night Walkers, also known, in present day as the vampires. You know, your lover-boy, Alex, who seems so sweet and innocent…he has killed one-hunderd and twenty-six people, and all women.”

“How do you know all of this?” I was shocked.

“Because your bed-time stories were Cinderella and Snow White, while my bed-time stories were about vampires and  witches.”

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia #9

“Oh,” I mustered, completely distracted by this man’s light blue eyes and dark sweeping hair falling in his face. He looked down at me as if I was a dwarf. I felt so tiny as I buttoned up my jeans and pulled my top over my hips, wondering if I had a little bit of eye makeup still left. “Of course, I know he’s a vampire!”

“Then I gather, you like to kiss vampires?” His eyes twinkling down at me and examining my lips closely. “You know they are savages and can kill you in an instant.”

“Alexios wouldn’t kill me.” I said, taking two steps back. He was way too close for comfort.

“And how can you be so sure? I have seen him kill. I have been chasing him for years and every time I get close he disappears again.” He looked at me up and down. “What’s your name?”

“Elysia.” I said and felt a shudder go through me. Was he a vampire too? I felt this fear come over me.

“No, I’m not a vampire.”

“How did you do that?”

“Can I?” he asked and sat down without my permission. “Do what?” he placed his leg over his thigh and his arms across my couch. “Have a seat, Elysia.”

I sat in the armchair facing him. He cleared his throat, “So what do you know about me?”

I know you’re a vampire hunter and you want to kill Alexios. “Not much,” I said.

“Don’t lie. You know I’m a vampire hunter and I want to kill Alexios,” he smiled.

I quickly got up, “I don’t know how you did that but I want you to leave.” I tried not to think of anything. He wasn’t moving and I suddenly felt scared.

“I won’t hurt you.” He place his hands on his legs and stared at me. Was he compelling me or something? “I told you I’m not a vampire and I can’t compel you. I can read minds though, as you can see. I’m telepathic, for want of a better word. In plain terminology. I like to think of myself as a mind-reader.” And he looked at my lips again. “Elysia, I suggest you don’t let Alexios into your house again. He’s bad news and I’ll be watching your house closely.” He got up. “You can block your thoughts well. That’s pretty good.”

“I think you should leave.” I started to tremble.

“Don’t be scared. I’m here to protect you from him. You may not know it now but Alexios is dangerous. You seem like a nice person.” He came close to me and pulled something out of his jean pocket. I caught a glance of his body and felt a sexual energy toward him. What the hell was going on? Why did I feel this way?

“This is for you, it belonged to your great-grandmother Elizabeth.” It was a    bracelet with Ancient Greek writing on it. He bent slightly to place it on my wrist and his touch electrified me. I raised my wrist a few inches. He looked into my eyes again and laughed. How did he know my great-grandmother? How was I involved in this?

“You are really pretty, Elysia…I will be back tomorrow to explain how you are involved. Right now I have to follow Alexios’ trail.”

I couldn’t speak and I tried hard not to think.

He stepped close to the window, looked back at me and said, “Try not to think of me while I’m gone.”

The second he left I turned on my laptop and with a shaking hand typed in the name: Athanasios. The only thing that I could find was its meaning, which  freaked the fuck out of me.

Athanasios, The Immortal. And try as I might, I couldn’t get him off of my mind.

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia #8

So this technically should be my last installment for the month of February, but I’m really not ready to say goodbye to my characters in my head…

Thanks to for the inspiration. Also kudos to the awesome writers who have participated with me.

I was all sweaty and hot and dying of thirst. I stopped at a depanneur (convenience store for those not in Quebec), and drank a bottle of water in one split second. I looked all around the Plateau area and didn’t see anyone. The woman was nowhere to be seen and Alexios was God knows where by now.

I walked back home trying to get my heart beat back to normal. From across the street, I saw him sitting at my front steps waiting like a sad puppy.

“Alexios!” I shouted.

He looked at me and  smiled. He appeared calm and relaxed. Why is it he always appears when I am all dirty?

“You better come in,” I said as I ran to him.

“Of course. I took care of the problem.” He smiled at me and glanced down at my bosom.

“What do do you mean?” I unlocked my door and threw off my jacket.

“I found The Women and they said they would take care of it for me. This is what they do.”

“That easy?”

“Apparently,” he smirked. “And now I want to be with you…” he appeared within inches of my face.

I stepped back. “I’m taking a shower! But I want an explanation.”

“Okay, do you have any wine?”

“Yeah, look in the pantry on the bottom shelf.”

It must have taken me five minutes to take a shower. I wanted to be with Alexios so bad. I couldn’t believe everything was over…

I quickly dried myself and wore my jeans and a t-shirt that had a peace sign on it. It was one of my favorites. I didn’t wear a bra.

My hair was wet and tangled, but I didn’t care. I came out of my room and found him sitting on the couch with two glasses of wine on the coffee table. I heard some classical music playing in the background.

“Do you mind? I put it on 99.5, the classical station.”

“No, it’s fine.” I sat down next to him and bent to pick up my glass.

“Cheers,” I said and our glasses met in one single motion. His eyes sparkled and his arm fell on my back as he downed the wine in two seconds.  The red wine warmed me up and I finished mine just as fast as he did. I felt a surge of heat from the wine and heat from my body overtake me.

We kissed passionately on the couch and his heavy form pressed against mine. I felt weak at the knees for him. My body was pulsating and then it happened, I felt his breath on my skin, his lips up against my neck, his words penetrating my soul and I knew that this feeling erupting in me was ethereal.

“I want you badly,” and his hands were under my shirt, caressing my breasts, my nipples and then with one hand he unbuttoned my button and my zipper and I fell into a sexual heat like no other.  I couldn’t even reply and tell him how much I wanted to feel him inside me. I just closed my eyes and let myself go and moaned.

Suddenly, I heard a loud crash.

Alexios stood up immediately, looking around. I opened my eyes and looked at the window. In mid-air, at the middle of my window I saw one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen in my entire life. I was horny as hell, so that didn’t help my feelings.

I was half-naked and panting. He stared directly at me and froze. Alexios had escaped. I didn’t even know where he went.

“Who are you?” I asked pulling my shirt down and buttoning up my pants, while a stranger (handsome as hell) was flying in the air nonchalantly at my window. Things couldn’t get any wierder…

“Athanasios,” he said and jumped into my living room. “Do you know you were kissing a vampire?” and he looked at me like I was crazy. Of course I knew. Oh. My. God. Athanasios. What the fuck?

Alexios & Elysia

Alexios & Elysia #5 NaStyRomo 2012

The fifth installment: 2012. Have a looksy!

I bundled up, attached my ipod to my jacket and went out for a run to clear my head. The mountain beckoned me. I love the fresh air and the cold. Also it’s Valentine’s Day and no word from Alexios. It was the middle of the day and the path was quiet.

I ran listening to Linken Park thinking how I wanted my phone to ring, or my doorbell to ring. I’m thinking about my doorbell when you gonna ring it, when you gonna ring it. I skipped to White Stripes and hummed along. I felt a presence near me and I looked back, but the path was empty. Strange.

I continued, going faster and feeling alive, concentrating on Jack White’s voice and the gravel in front of me…suddenly, someone appeared next to me.

I turned to my left and my jaw almost dropped. I pulled the earphones off and stopped running.

“Alexios!” I panted out of breath. I looked him up and down and his appearance threw me off balance. His hazel eyes twinkled.

“Hi, Elysia. You’re a hard lady to catch up with and I’m friggin’ fast!” His black leather jacket was open, and I caught a glimpse of his chest through his tight shirt. I felt myself swoon. He looked the same, yet different.

“How did you find me?”

“I went to your house and rang your doorbell but there was no answer…and  then I followed your scent. Plus, I know how much you love running here.” He looked me up and down and I felt self-conscious.

“I was just listening to that song about the doorbell,” I mustered out like a love struck puppy.

He bent to kiss me on both cheeks and I flustered. His face smelled like musk, I must have smelled awful. I pulled away quickly.

“I’ll race you to your house,” he teased. “I’ll give you a ten second start.”

“No need to. I’ll beat you!” and I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. He was behind me for a while and then he went next to me.

“I’m beating you!” I shouted.

“No, I’m just admiring the view from back here,” he teased, completely relaxed and not out of breath. “You are so fast!”

Luckily, I only live a few streets down from the mountain. We went up Park avenue and everyone stared at us (mostly at him, with his fresh attire). I peeked at him and he looked completely calm.

I reached into my pockets for my keys and before I knew it he was at the door first.

“You beat me!” I joked, ” like I was ever going to beat you.”

“If I was human, you would definitely beat me. Even with my super speed I had to try hard…” he smiled at me and placed his hands across his chest waiting for me to open the door.

I unlocked the door and he stepped inside.  He has already been invited in my house so I knew I didn’t have to invite him in, but as a joke I asked anyway. “Would you like to come in?”

He laughed, “Definitely.”

He walked in and removed his boots. “Your place looks great, Elysia. You haven’t changed one bit.”

“I have to take a shower.” I said, perspiring enormously now that I stopped running. I felt so sticky and dirty. “I’ll be right back.”

“Take your time. The thought of you in the shower…is…is just what I was imagining on the plane ride.” He smiled at me and sat on the couch.

I couldn’t believe he was in my house again. He was finally here after eight long years.

“I’ll be right back.” I jumped in the shower and washed quickly. I wrapped the towel around me and as I was getting out of the bathroom, Alexios quickly appeared in front of me. His speed excited me.

“Can I help you with that?” and he unwrapped the towel and flung it on the floor in one sweeping motion before I could reply. His mouth met mine and we kissed hungrily.

“I’ve missed you,” he whispered in my ear as he led me into my bedroom.

“Me too,” I whispered back.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Elysia,” he muttered as his lips caressed my neck gently. I couldn’t reply, I couldn’t breathe, we were about to drop on my bed and then I saw  his fangs and he pulled away. “Sorry,” he muttered. “I couldn’t control it. It’s been so long.” He turned away and when he looked at me again his fangs were gone.

“Wait, it’s okay. What happens if you bite me?”

“I can’t do that to you or to me.” He went to pull away from me. “I’m not sure if this was a good idea…” I pushed him on my bed.

“Yes, this is a good idea,” I said and he placed his body over mine fully agreeing with me. I had to have him-all of him.
