Warning Label

muses work in mysterious ways

Christina Strigas

You should come with a warning label
a history of broken-hearted glasses of girls
landing from heaven heading to hell
youโ€™re making them spin in twirls
hating & loving you at the same time
as you use your words as weapons of lust
ready to unload your gun with bullets of rhyme
doing your utmost to gain their trust
but I really understand
I know how it can consume you
as I lay in a raging fit
inhaling words of bullshit
about soul mates bleeding
Instinct and sexual feeding
that internal longing
where few dare to enter
the adjective room
with me lying in the center
abducted by poets.
I have Brass in my Pocket
but no one to prove it too
for it has been digging its hole
to find that sacred place
where no man can breathe in
Iโ€™m alone there
with no November Rain solos
nothing toโ€ฆ
