The best part of the day

is the love you send

like flowers on a grave.

The dead know that none of this matters

as much as we hope it would. The dead

know how you can fault on your knees.

Better to not know yourself. Cry all

day under your glare. Escape in the

middle of the night and hunger for the

lustful cravings among

the banks of your shore.

I will kill your beauty, watch it

pass me by like a dead freight train.

I will add Greek olives to it as a gesture

of my hate.

Ugly me

has no will to look anyone in the eyes.

Beautiful me

will spread her legs

for you to go deep

shakes your knees

at my touchdown.

The theme escapes me daily

the words all gone again, starting

over on a new screen

to begin in another lifetime.

at about 18 mos, my Nieces were watching their Mother and I snacking on the peas and seaweed rice snacks. Of course their curiosity peaked and I believed in letting them learn what they like or didn’t by experimentation, so we told them to just let them sit in their mouths until they were soft enough to bite. To our surprise, they loved both and have tried every spicy thing we’ve eaten since then. Our Chinese friends are amazed with them. Grands have followed suit, but not real keen about seaweed at all.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

sounds gross, i’ve tried that organic foods and I’m picky with my food…imagine I’m Greek and I don’t eat olives and feta cheese. Everyone is aghast with me…at restaurants, I sometimes go home hungry. Like my last visit to some “well-renowned place” ugh. Seaweed would have been better than salmon tartare. lol
I teach my kids to try everything, even if I don’t! my daughter does, but my son takes after me. xx

I used to think a lot of things were gross until I became a Godfather to a Chinese American girl and then started eating more at her house with Grandparents, opened my eyes and palate))))))))))) Heck, I’ve eaten Lotus flower roots, chewy but good. My Nieces and Grands try everything (Yes I use bribery at times and trickery at other times.) Guilty I am. But they have learned to try everything, indeed. I understand the taste buds of all are different, thankfully, MORE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!! With A Marine Dad, my Kids learned to eat what was on the plate, especially after #5 and #s9&10. not a typo ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
